National Truth and Reconciliation Day is to commemorate the history and legacy of the residential school system and to honour its survivors, their families, and communities, as well as the children who never returned home. It is a day for all Canadians to learn, reflect, and participate in commemorative activities related to the ongoing process of reconciliation.
